Expect a fulfilling trekking experience that will bring you to experience the grandeur of the forest’s majestic biodiversity, and thereafter be rewarded with the rejuvenating sights of Mekong delta, its bustling activities and its rich culture.

Will there be a local guide?

We have enlisted the help of a local guide for the trek in Cat Tien as well as for the river visit in My Tho (Mekong delta).

Where will we be spending our nights?

We will spend our 1st night in a room in Cat Tien National Park and the 2nd in a tent, close to nature. Subsequent 2 nights will be spent in rooms in My Tho/ Ho Chi Minh City.

How and where will we be having our meals?

Some of the meals will be provided for. Breakfast and lunch of one day in Cat Tien will comprise packing personal snacks to eat out in the natural environment, while other meals will be settled in eateries. Meals in My Tho will be enjoyed by the river of Mekong delta.

Will there be shower facilities?

Yes, we will simply take a dip in the Bau Sau (Crocodile Swamp) of Cat Tien.

Just kidding. But on a more serious note, yes and no. Shower facilities will be available in Cat Tien for the 1st night but not necessarily for the 2nd, and will definitely be available in the rooms we check into at My Tho/ Ho Chi Minh City after the 2 days in Cat Tien.

Other notes?

One of our trek organisers is a Vietnamese, so be rest assured we are able to to do our best to bargain for the most valuable deals with a friend who speaks the local language! Feel free to pick up some simple Vietnamese phrases that can come in handy from him too. During the trek, small leeches may be present in Cat Tien just like in most other tropical rainforests, but be rest assured that they are non-poisonous and that we will be properly covered up with leech socks and appropriate attire.

How is this trek different from the others?

This trek is one of the more relaxing treks we are offering this December, immersing you in a rich biodiversity to be humbled by nature, and ends with the unique sights of Mekong delta and its culture as an additional reward for your completing the trek.
