What are Rovers’ treks like?
Do not be mistaken, Rovers is not a travel agency. The treks we organize are more akin to a group of friends venturing out. Our goal is to offer adventurous trekking trips at a student-friendly cost. (We are students too!) Being on a no-frills budget means there will be no hotels, no 4-layered velvet duvets, and no 10-course international buffets. Instead, we immerse ourselves in the natural environment, exploring and seeking adventure, while camping out and eating out in the wild (most of the time). Harking back to the good ol’ days, Rovers treks encourages communal living and sharing, and fosters the spirit of friendship and adventure.
Are there any risks involved? What precautions are taken?
As with all outdoor-based nature activities, there are inherent risks involved. However, utmost care is taken to avoid high-risk areas. We also have contingency plans in case of emergencies.
Who will lead the treks?
Treks will be led by our exco members, backed up with experience from our club alumni. All treks are undertaken along established routes & trails, but adventure can still be found wherever we trek! For treks in unfamiliar terrain and unpredictable weather, the aid of local guides will be enlisted.
Who can join?
Our treks are open to members of the public above 18 years of age.
Can I join with a group of friends?
Yes, you may. Just indicate in the “Remarks” of your preference. Do note that due to the small size of the trekking group, interacting with the fellow trekkers is inevitable.
How do I sign up?
1) Register here!
2) Successful applicants will receive a follow-up email from the respective Trek ICs within 5 working days.
3) To proceed with the payment, follow the details of bank transfer (ATM or i-banking) provided in the email.
4) Your spot in the trek will be confirmed as soon as we receive payment.

How many people will there be on this trip?
Each trek is expected to have between 15 to 25 participants, on a first-come-first-served basis!
How fit do I have to be?
Unlike conquering the Himalayas, our treks are not meant to be technical. In fact, inexperienced trekkers can participate too. That said, a certain level of fitness will always come in handy. Do consider the difficulty of each trek by reading the respective FAQs before signing up.
What if I have paid for the trek but am unable to make it?
