WHEN IS THE TREK?
It will be a 1 day trek on 25/02/19. We will meet at 2 pick up points: 0615HRS at Kent Ridge MRT or 0630HRS at Kranji MRT respectively. We will end off the trip at JB Sentral, of which participants are required to make their own way back to Singapore.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
We will be heading to Pelepah Waterfall and Kota Tinggi Waterfall in Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia. There will be a total of 4 waterfalls in this trek!
WILL THIS TREK BE DIFFICULT?
We are rating the trek difficulty to be 3.5/5 ! However, we would like to emphasise that the difficulty of the trek is really based on your physical fitness.
Apart from the possibility of slips and falls, you will definitely get soaked as half of the trek will be in water. Besides that, there will be a steep climb of about 70 degrees up and there might be leeches and sandflies!
DO NOTE that you should waterproof all your belongings!
HOW MUCH AND WHAT DOES THE TREK INCLUDE?
$50 (Members), $53 (Non-members) includes transport from Singapore to Pelepah Waterfall, entrance fee to Kota Tinggi Waterfall and showering facilities; and transport from Pelepah Waterfall to JB Sentral. This price does not include food and other personal spendings.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
1. VISA – Some of you might need to apply for a visa to enter Malaysia
2. Travel Insurance – NUS provides insurance coverage for NUS students ONLY. Non-NUS Students are responsible in getting their own travel insurance.
3. Anything else that are not mentioned in the itinerary such as food and personal expenses.

WILL THERE BE A LOCAL GUIDE?
We will be engaging a local guide on this trip!
WHO IS GOING?
You will be trekking with 7 committee members and 23 other participants! There will be 30 of us.
WHAT ABOUT WET WEATHER?
Safety comes first and a decision will be made BEFORE the start of the trek to see whether it is safe to continue. This is because in the event of rain which causes flash flooding, it will be extremely dangerous to carry on with the trek. As such, we will switch to an alternative trek in the Kota Tinggi Area (surprise). For the alternative trek: in the event of light rain, please be prepared to waterproof your gear and yourself. We will continue the trek and adjust accordingly if it is not too dangerous.
